Library Instruction at MCC

Welcome! The goal of the MCC library instruction program is to help students build the research skills they need to successfully complete coursework.

    Schedule a Library Instruction Session

    Please provide at least two weeks notice when scheduling your classes. We require faculty to attend sessions with their students.

     

    Types of Library Instruction

    Information literacy skills are taught by the following methods:

    • Course-integrated instruction - Students get hands-on practice using library and other resources.
    • Point-of-use instruction - A librarian can answer research-related questions whenever the libraries are open. Help is also available through AskUs 24/7, our chat reference service.
