Laptop Loans

Information about library laptop loans- availability, borrowing, returning.

Laptop Loaner Program

UPDATE: As of 8/26/2025 all laptops have been loaned out. 

MCC Libraries offer a limited number of laptops for students registered in for-credit courses. Loan options include:

  1. Semester-Long Loans

    • Laptops are available for the entire semester and must be returned by the last day of the semester.
    • If you need a laptop during final exam week, let us know—we can make arrangements.

  2. Emergency Short-Term Loans

    • Ideal if your personal laptop is broken or being repaired.

Availability and How to Request

The LVG Library on the Brighton Campus offers laptop loans on a first come, first served basis.

How to Request a Laptop:

  • Visit the LVG Library to make your request in-person.
  • If you have questions, email laptops@monroecc.edu from your MCC account. Be sure to include:
    • Your first and last name
    • Your M number

Already Have a Loaned Laptop?

  • If you borrowed a laptop in Spring or Summer 2025 and have not returned it, you must bring it back to the library so that critical updates can be completed.  If not returned, the laptop will be disabled.

Laptop Pickup and Returns:

  • Laptops are available on a first come, first served basis. Stop by the LVG Library in-person to ask about availability.
  • All laptops must be returned by the end of the fall semester for updates.
