OneSearch: How to Find Articles, Books & More

Locate articles, books (print and e-books), videos, and other resources available at MCC Libraries with one search.

How Does OneSearch Work?

OneSearch provides simple, one-stop searching for articles, books and e-books, media, and more from one central location.

OneSearch also helps you manage your research. Sign-in in order to:

  • View full search results. (Some databases, only show results when you're signed in.)
  • Create and view favorites lists
  • Sign-in to your library account (My Library card) to renew books and videos, check the status of items requested, and view any fines accrued on your Library account

You can also search:

  • Reserves - Find textbooks and other resources your professor has placed on Library Reserve for your course
  • All 61 SUNY Libraries - Find and request books available for loan from all SUNY library collections

Is OneSearch Right for Me?

Advantages to using OneSearch

  • It is a good place to start your research to get a good sense of the types of resources available on your topic,
  • It displays the most relevant resources first, whether they are books, e-books, or scholarly articles,
  • It helps you discover resources that you might not find through other methods of searching.
