Welcome Message from the Library Director

Welcome!

It's an exciting time to be at the MCC Libraries!

Like many academic libraries, we no longer operate as gatekeepers of information, but instead are becoming more actively involved in the teaching and learning process at MCC. Our core mission is to support student learning, and meeting the multifaceted needs of teaching faculty is one of the most important ways we fulfill that mission.

This guide is a starting point, as it includes targeted information on the collaborations, services, resources, and technology that the MCC Libraries offer to faculty. Your liaison librarian can be your first line of contact and go-to person for all things library-related. We feel strongly that having a dedicated librarian assigned to each department allows for the close collaborations that produce excellent faculty support.

We invite you to visit our libraries online and in person. Please let us know how we can help you in your teaching and meet your other information needs.

Sincerely,

Katie Ghidiu
Director of Library Services
