Fake news includes hoax articles, videos, and images, and sometimes satire or clickbait. It can be created intentionally, to earn money or to influence public opinion on a topic. It can also be created by accident when people misinterpret satire as reporting, or when opinions go viral as fact.
So how do we know if that latest health fad or shocking current event is real? This guide offers tips on how to avoid being fooled.
