A permanent gallery of 16 world maps showcasing aspects of human geography and physical geography was installed in the fall of 2016 throughout the Brighton Campus. As in an art gallery or museum, the maps will have a display label explaining the map as well as a QR Code that students can scan with their smart phone, tablet, or laptop to get additional information and ways to interact.
MCC’s Maps Gallery is a joint collaboration between MCC’s Geography program and Global Education and International Services. Funding for the Maps Gallery came from MCC’s Strategic Planning Initiative Grant.
Note: The map for the Maps Gallery was created by a student in GEG 131 (Cartography).
